8 refrigerator error codes for LG refrigerators, what each one means and what to try, paraphrased from LG's own source. Codes vary by model, so confirm in your own manual.
All codes
- FS / rS / dS / rT Freezer sensor, refrigerator sensor, freezer defrost sensor or external sensor malfunction; this requires a professional inspection.
- dH Malfunction in the defrost system, likely caused by ice buildup, a blown thermal fuse, heater failure or a main board (PCB) issue.
- FF Freezer fan error, often from ice on the fan.
- CF / CO CF: the condenser fan feedback signal is less than 65 seconds during the fan's operation. CO: a communication error between the control board and the display.
- CH E / CL E Possible refrigerant leak (high side or low side).
- 67 A gap in the door, or an object inside, is restricting the door from closing properly.
- 88 Normal: the unit is functioning properly (shown when Ice Plus and Freezer are held for 2 seconds).
- OF F Demo/display mode is on.
